Chronic wounds are on the rise affecting millions of people due to an increase in life expectancy and co-morbidities affecting lower extremities.  A large percentage of these wounds include venous and arterial ulcers that are partial or full thickness. To determine etiology, assess the wound location and characteristics and perform an ABI to check blood flow to extremities. This will help guide wound care and reduce the risk of complications, including loss of limb.

Webinar Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of the program, the participant will be able to:

  1. Describe 3 characteristics of venous ulcers
  2. Identify 3 clinical signs and symptoms of arterial ulcers
  3. Identify a common cause of venous ulcers
