CE Credit(s): 1.0
Length: 50 minutes
Webinar Description:
Advanced foot care clinicians have specific foot and nail care education and training to perform a comprehensive assessment including review of previous health history; identify patients at risk for skin breakdown and wounds, LOPS, and vascular complications; and provide appropriate treatments per scope of practice. Upon completion of an advanced foot and nail care program and hands-on training, an advanced foot care clinician can obtain a certification by passing a written exam. Patients at high risk for lower leg, foot and nail complications should have a yearly comprehensive assessment and more often per direction of physician/provider. Maintaining healthy feet and nails are essential for patient’s independence, social interactions, positive quality of life and prevention of life-threatening lower leg and foot complications.
Webinar Learning Objectives:
Various medical conditions affect foot, skin & nail health, including neuropathy.
